Hi, I'm Audrey — Welcome to My Kitchen!
I’m so glad you’re here.
Kneaded That began during a quiet, uncertain time in my life — my husband was deployed, I was living in a new state with just me and my first baby, and I found myself turning to baking as both a comfort and a creative outlet. What started as a way to fill long evenings in Washington soon became a full-blown passion, and I couldn’t keep it to myself. So, I started sharing.
But my love for baking actually began earlier — in 2020, when the world slowed down and I was living in South Carolina. I started experimenting with breads, cookies, and cakes, eventually selling them from my home before our big move across the country.
These days, you’ll find me in the kitchen chasing after new flavors and techniques, usually with a bit of flour in my hair and my two little boys nearby. I especially love working with sourdough discard, baking all kinds of breads and sweets, and trying recipes that push me out of my comfort zone. Whether you’re new to baking or a seasoned pro, I hope you’ll find something here that inspires you.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m an artist at heart — I love to paint and draw, though those quiet moments are fewer these days. Still, that creative spark finds its way into every cookie swirl and loaf crust.
This space is for anyone who loves the smell of fresh bread, the joy of trying something new, and the comfort of a well-loved recipe. Whether you’re a young mom or dad juggling nap schedules or a grandmother rediscovering her love of baking, you’re welcome here.
Thanks for stopping by — now, let’s bake something delicious together.
— Audrey
